Bolsa Chica Gathering (Or how I got massively toasted brown)

This represents my 4th trip to LA in really short duration. In fact, I was very reluctant to hit this one up because of the Comic Con next week and I was concerned that I had been making too many trips to LA in short duration. However, as I realized that I'll be moving to Washington state soon and I saw this as opportunity to create more memories for me to cherish when I'm in Washington. I told the host that I'll be there and that's that. 

The directions to Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington beach were very easy for me to understand but gorram, the line to get into beach was so epic that I want to pull my hair out, despite that I just got the haircut. 

Just arrived at the beach but I had no idea where the gathering is. Uh oh. X.X

All I know is that the gathering takes a place at fire pit. The problem is..... there's over 200 fire pits!!!

Downed 2 water bottles and I feel like I'm in friggin Lawrence of Arabia, all sweaty and exhausting. 

2 hours of driving to beach and 2 hours of searching for the gathering. OMG.

If this keeps up, I'll end up like that bird. @_@

After 2 hours of searching, I got the text that the gathering is right next to Tower 19 so I marched over there, despite the exhaustion and sore feets. It was nice to see the familiar faces. 

July and Marly in their cosplays! It was truly a treat for me to see July in her Sora (Kingdom hearts 2) cosplay since she's the legendary Sora cosplayer. I wish I had her hair so I'd look badass.

It was at this moment where I decided to say fuck it and just put on my swimsuit then rushing to the ocean to swimming. I wasn't supposed to hit up the ocean but I want to produce good memory so I did it.

There's very few pictures of me in ocean, none taken by me but I spent an hour in ocean swimming and surfing with boogie board. It was truly a thrilling for me to fighting and going with the waves. Yes, my legs and feets are all cut up but it was so damn fun as hell. I'm glad that I did it with friends whose truly care about me.

The president of Anime Los Angeles, Mr. Baden. He is the host of this event and he's well known in Southern California among anime/manga gatherings and cons. Great guy.

July ask me if I wanna go to snack bar with her and I said yes but we were limping from the cuts on our feets so we took it easy.

Heading to my truck to return back video game to July. The parking at the beach just really suck so I had to walk long distance. 

When I returned back to the tent, everyone was very concerned about me, which touch me deeply because they truly legitimately care about me. I just told them that I was getting something from my truck.

It was truly amazing day for me, even if the beginning of the day was bit shaky. I'm able to produce several great memories, like swimming in ocean with Yuffie, July, and Marly. Or making the dam on beach with Yuffie. Joel and I were watching the sunset together while looking for green flash is great one. I'm able to developing good rapports with new people that I had never met before so it was really cool. 

As the bonfire ended, I had to leave because I was very tired plus I have the obligation to help out with cosplay chess board for Comic Con on Sunday. When I went home, I was very sad because the chapter had ended but Comic Con will start soon so that's new chapter being written. :D 

As I was swimming in ocean, I realized that the only constant in life is change and it's up to me to adjust with waves or resist it. When I tried to resist the waves, I got tossed around like doll and ending up burn up my energy. When I go with the waves, it's very smooth riding. The waves doesn't wait for me to adjust to them, it just simply hit me as it pleased so I have to adjust on constant basis. 

I'm just happy that I'm not all sun burned because I put on lot of sun lotions yesterday so I'm all good, despite that I'm all toasty brown. It was an amazing day. :)
