Shooting with Mike Rollerson (or All Hail Maestro!)

I initially had want to do the blog about my experience at Fanime '12 but it was huge disappointment, given its reputation for 2nd largest anime con in this state. I wasn't happy with my time at Fanime so I have decide that I will not go back there. Luckily, Mike Rollerson decided to set up a gathering for photo session at Balboa Park and my experience there was so much better than my overall experience at Fanime so I am going to blog this one up. I was the first cosplayer to show up so I ended up chilling with Mike (the one on left) and Darryl (black dude). They're good people, you guys! "Ah man, you should have let met pwn those noobs." Ryan show up to chilling with us. "We gotta work on our lighting techniques, Mike!" "Uh... Mike, how does this work?" The band of cosplayers have show up! Group of stunning girls, yo! That's Sarah. I have always felt that she's one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen. "Remember, you girls gotta work on your poses." "Seriously? We don't need no stinkin' poses." Shinra is looking into her camera to check if any good footage of Celty exists. "Mike, it ain't raining yet." "So when is Mike going to shooting?" That's Ino as another Celty. I end up hanging out with her for the rest of the day. Epic Batgirl cosplayer! Me as Shinra and Ino as Celty. Good times good times. Bunch of Parkour kids flipping around. Setting up the equipments for photo sessions. That's Omar, an amateur photographer. He's cool cat. "Celty, I thought you have no head?" The beginning of epic Mike's legendary photo sessions. Darryl: OMG, don't let those noobs come any closer. Epic Batman cosplayer has arrive! Together.... they rock very much! "Yeah... we rock very much!" Natalie finally show up.... in Izaya's cosplay. "We make so badass duo." Pair of awesome cosplayers. "Celty, you can talk?!?" Poor Celty.... she's all cold. At least, she's snuggling up against Shinra. Marly is being badass as Nathan Drake and chilling with Omar. Epic photo session is continuing. Legen... wait for this...... dary! Walking with Natalie and Ino for mini photo sessions with other photographers. "Guys, we gotta take the pictures like this so and so." Someone is filming Marly. Very neat. "OMG, I gotta take the picture of this!" Celty and Izaya are all coddling with each other. Walking to Teahouse garden for chilling and food time. "Guys, this place is very epic." Na-duh-lee sure is very hungry. Ino is drinking through straw under her helmet. Never once she took her helmet off, which is impressive feat. Heading back to Mike's photo sessions. Wow... they have been at it for few hours now. "Guys, I want you to pose like this so and so." Epic Batgirl ever!!! "Okay, let's recreate the scene from The Dark Knight, shall we?" "Guys, I think we're doing great job." Omar is being silly. Another epic pose by Batgirl. "Izaya.... I want to strangle you so badly." "Okay, girls, pose like this." Another photo session is underway. Poor Celty is all alone. But Celty should not be despair because I, Shinra, am here and we dance around to bring her a joy! But in reality, we were just loling whole time but we had a lot of fun so I'm happy about it. Honestly, I truly had a great time at the gathering today and I was in awe of Mike's photography techniques whole time. It has been a pleasure to hang out with good quality people today, even if Mike is somewhat fixated on Batgirl whole time but I don't blame him because she's beautiful and I have seen some of the finished products and I have to say that they are stunning. I want to thank Ino and Natalie for letting me chilling with them and make it a fun day for me. Let's have fun at next event, shall we? :)
