SDCC '13 Day 0 (Calm before the storm is always yummy)
Truthfully, I was very hyper about this year's SDCC because I genuinely enjoy SDCC very much. Also, I was able to networking with some people so I can use that to enhance my experience while I'm at SDCC. There are a lot of things that I'm very excited about SDCC.
This year's SDCC is a huge contrast from last year, which is interesting. Last year, I straight up soloed for entire duration of SDCC and I don't regret that. This year, I mostly spend my time with Calina and Xan, which is awesome. I'm grateful that I can help Omar and Xan getting into SDCC because they have been nothing but being great friends to me.
I was able to experience a lot of things at this year's SDCC for the first time, which is always huge plus for me. There are so many memorable moments for me so I will always cherish them for rest of my life.
Also, I find it impossible to upload my pictures on photobucket after using it for 10 years so I'm switching to Flickr to uploading my pictures.

Couldn't sleep much the night before so I got up around 7 am to prep for SDCC. My shift doesn't start until 1 pm but I still want to show up early at SDCC because I just want to be inside SDCC.

Riding the trolley. Orange line, to be precisely.

But the orange line no longer hit up convention center so I had to take another trolley to ride to Horton Plaza since it's only couple of blocks walk. I was bit lost but I was able to find Ralph's worker to lead me to where Ralph's is since it's down the street from SDCC.

Finally arriving at SDCC.

Ohhhhh, almost there!

Me with Josh whose is waiting in volunteer line to pick his assignment. He's good people! I'm very grateful to him for helping me out last year.

Walking to Lobby D where I pick up my badge.
At the staff meeting few days before SDCC starts, I'm not allowing to say that I'm a staff but to clarifying that I'm strictly a volunteer. When I have other staff badge on my neck, I'm totally 100 percent staff but when it's off, I'm just a volunteer. This doesn't make sense to me since I have word 'staff' on my badge, lol. But whatever.

Moments before I picked up my badge.

My work station. Show up here at 9 am and is awaiting my duties.

Tabitha on the left. She's the volunteer. Kyla is on the right and she's my supervisor. I generally reported to her for my staffing duty.

That's Christina, my other supervisor. She's the head of my department.

David on the left. It's his first time at SDCC so it's always funny to see his reactions. Isaiah is on the right and he has attended SDCC before but it's his first time working as a volunteer.

Alonzo on the left. He's volunteering interpreter. I was able to fulfilled my dream by telling him..... Allons-y, Alonzo! :DDD That truly made SDCC for me. He's awesome guy, that's for sure.

Walking with Isaiah and David to get the plastic holders for their badges.

Craig on the left. He's pretty cool guy. Christina is giving him the instructions on his assignments.

Chilling with Isaiah.

Walking with Leo and Desiree. It's Leo's 2nd time and Desiree's first time at SDCC. Our assignment is to walking around and searching for the specific people. But I felt that this was kinda..... moot point because it's like trying to find a needle in a haystacks.

Pair of adorable lolitas!

Leo and I walked over to Bayfront Hilton to check some stuff out. They have cool stuff over there.

Robin, Batman, and Joker are all legos. Very neat!

Scooby Doo rulz!

Lord of the Rings in lego format.

Leo and I walked to the Gaslamp while Desiree is trying to rearranging her schedule.

Chilling with Leo.

In Burger Lounge to meet up with Leo's friends. Eric and Stacey are on the left and Jeff is on the right. Vincent is sitting next to Jeff.
Eric seems to be fascinating by me because I have been able to attending SDCC consistently for 9 years now. He is asking me a lot of tips on how I'm able to attending SDCC for so long so I tried my best to answer his questions. His girlfriend Stacey seems to be bit intrigued by me because of my experiences.
Stacey and Leo soon left the Burger Lounge because Stacey want to figure out her volunteering schedule. Desiree soon show up so we all sit at the table and chat. It was pretty fun experience just talking about SDCC with newbies. Basically, I told them if they want to keep coming to SDCC, they have to networking more. I hope that they will take my advice but we'll see if they will come again for next year's SDCC.

Walking back to SDCC with Desiree.

Back to work station where I signed out so I'm ready to go into the exhibition hall.

Racing to the Nickelodeon booth to pick up the Shredder action figure for my friend whose live in Georgia.

Brilliant costumes! Uhh, must go to the booth to get the Shredder!

Picked up the Shredder action figure for my friend! I was so shocked that I was only 2nd in the line so I'm able to get it so easily.

Run to the other booth to pick up Predator action figure for my friend in GA as well. I was able to mapped out my route so well so I can hit up the locations with minimal troubles.

Hmm, almost there to get this one.

Quest is now completed! I'm able to get 2 items that my friend really wanted. I'm glad that I can help him out because he has been good friend to me for long time. I don't want him to pay stupid prices on ebay when I can easily get those stuff at good prices.

Meeting up with Shirah and Calina. Calina will be my main SDCC partner.

Walking around the exhibition with pair of cool girls.

Very cool booth but it get chaotic at the times.

Funimation booth. It was neat to see cool stuff there.

I stumbled into Connor whose is wonderful cosplayer. Gave him a nice manly hug.

OMG, it's the Titan!

Chilling outside Hall C. This will become our main spot to meet up and relaxing.

Went back into the exhibition hall again.

Viz Media, I heart you. But not enough to participating in your scavenger hunt for iPad Mini and One Piece manga. Had you offered Nexus 7 and Bleach manga, I'd be all over that, yo.

Tiger and Bunny merchs!

Resting outside Hall C once again.

Don't Calina look so cool with that hat?

Leaving SDCC now to hit up the trolley station because we want to get up early for tomorrow.
That's Peter on the left whose is cool guy, even if he's bit weird. When I was trying to buy 5 day pass for the trolley with my debit card, the cashier say that it's cash only. Peter loaned me 20 bucks so I'm very grateful for that. When I saw him the next day in sail pavilion, I just whip my wallet out and paid him right back. He's good people!

Waiting for the trolley to show up. It feels weird to take the green line instead of the orange line.
But I'm very exciting about tomorrow.
