Fun with Extreme Prejudice (ALA '13 Day 1)
I did get some decent rest but I don't think you're supposed to have good solid full night's sleep at cons, lol.
Wow, Tobi actually slept under the table. I don't think I can do it. I slept in between window and Mark's bed, which wasn't too bad. This allows me to surfing the net on my phone with ease.
I'm checking out pool deck to see if there's any cosplayers.
Morning prep time!
Watching John Lynn taking the pictures of Sword Art Online cosplayers. He was very busy at this con, which surprised me a lot. His schedule is very grueling since he is shooting from 9 am to midnight for 3 straight days.
Nope, this is not time to put on cosplay. Time to eat some Chef Boyardee cans for breakfast.
John Lynn is continuing to take the pictures.
Battle Royale cosplay! Quite few people got the reference because of my collar.
That's Brian! He gave me couple of excellent tips on taking the pictures so it was very helpful to me.
The famous pool deck!
Met up with Wayne in lobby. He's super cool guy whose is epic Ichigo cosplayer.
"How do we pwn the noobs?"
Epic Tiger and Bunny cosplayers. I think that Sky High cosplayer is one of the best I've ever seen. Mark gave me the back story on that girl. Apparently, she lived in Japan for past 2 years and was unable to go to cons, due to her commitments. So ALA is only time that she can go to con. She would soon leave ALA to fly back to Japan the next day.
Meeting up with Heaven and Hidey.
Photo shoot session with Heaven.
The pool deck is becoming very lively.
Walking around with Heaven and Hidey.
Ryan in insanely epic Tiger hero suit, which he made all by himself.
Hidey is looking awesome.
Vinnie. Was good to see him again after a while.
That's Nicole on right, whose is truly high level cosplayer. Her best friend asked me to give all of the pictures that I took of Nicole, whether they are blurry or not.
Chilling in Ballroom floor before hit up my room for food and relaxing session.
My, the pool deck is awfully busy.
Lol at Mark.
Tobi is looking awesome. She asked me if she can borrow my scythe, which I approve.
Heading back to the pool deck.
Heaven is being silly.
Lot of people seems to like to take the pictures right next to pool.
"What shall we do?"
The pool!
So many Jack Frost cosplayers. Someone actually keep count and told us that there's 44 Jack Frosts at ALA in total.
Really cool cosplayer.
Can't have anime con without Neon Genesis Evangelion cosplayers.
Well known photographer Eurobeat Kasumi is taking the pictures of Heaven and Hidey. It was pretty neat.
Posing time!
There's something so magical about ALA.
Epic female Skyrim cosplayer.
Epic photo shoot session.
Posing with a kid.
Tobi with my scythe.
Meeting up with Shannon in lobby.
My favorite Kingdom Hearts cosplayers.
Kicking it back in lobby with the girls. I soon went to the room to chilling for a bit.
Hanging out with Tobi on balcony for a bit.
At ALA, I spend most of my breaks in the room drinking lot of water and eat frost covered pretzels to keep me sane.
Kuroko's Basketball cosplayers. Super yaoi anime I've ever seen.
Saw Heaven and Hidey on pool deck so I sprint down to the pool deck to meet up with them again.
Enjoying the view.
Adventure time!
Hitting up the dealers room.
Checking out interesting stuff.
Hitting up the artists alley with the girls then Hidey wasn't feeling well so I escorted her back to the room.
Meeting up with my boss, Richie.
Chilling with him for a bit. He filled me in some of the crucial information for our future projects.
Meeting up with Elyssa, whose is looking fantastic.
Chilling with her for a bit. This would be last time I will see her at ALA but I'm very happy to see her again.
Meeting up with Heather and Veve. It's crazy that it's been almost 3 years since we first met but I'm very happy that we're still friends.
Found Heaven and Hidey whose are chilling with Zidane from FFIX.
Pool deck again!
Ryan with insanely huge smartphone that I can barely hold it. It's practically mini computer!
Me with Ryan.
Omar with Lauren. I've been talking to Lauren on Tumblr for a while now so it was a pleasure to meet her in person. It was so surreal to finally see Lauren in person.
"Time to crush some noobs."
Roxas and Axel are having a sleep over.
Pwn the noobs ain't easy.
Pool deck looks awesome during night time.
Meeting up with Darryl and Omar.
John Lynn has interesting style of shooting the pictures.
Darryl's liquor stock.
Having a cold one with Omar.
"Yeah man, I took some great pictures."
It was around this time when Darryl ask me if I would be zombie in photo shoot, which I gladly accept.
Nice view of pool deck from 9th floor.
Photo shoot with One Piece cosplayers front of the hotel.
John Lynn has one of the most busiest photographers I've ever met in my whole life.
Photo shoot session time! I did few shots as a zombie in group and individual shots so it was fun.
"Let me show you how this picture turn out."
Meeting up with Heaven and Hidey outside Ballroom floor.
Asked Kitsune if I could have couple of hits of hookah and she said yes. It was good to toke up during con.
Chilling with them for a bit before I hit up Carl Jr for munchies.
Waiting for order to come.
Mark with his girlfriend, Rita. She was only guest whose is authorized in our room so it's all good.
Food time!
Cristian is very exhausted and he still hasn't finish his cosplay.
Tobi sure is stunning girl.
Just change into John God Tier cosplay. This cosplay purely function to keep me feeling clean and more mobile during night time. I cannot wear same cosplay for nearly 16, 20 hours anymore so I brought this cosplay to make nights easier for me.
Hitting up Drawmeet gathering.
Got a text from Hidey that they're at photo shoot at front of the hotel so I went to see them.
Hidey is all chilling.
Hitting up Drawmeet with the girls.
First time I saw Shannon without wig. Isn't she so adorable? She run very entertaining Tumblr blog. Also, I'm her main art patron.
Drawmeet is very lively.
Fiona, Lia's girlfriend. We develop a good rapport so I'm very happy about that.
Ever so adorable Lia. :DDD
Oh silly Hidey. :P
Don't Heaven looks so stunning? I'm very blessed that I get to hang out with beautiful girls like her at cons.
Drawmeet got too popular so they move us to huge room. It was nice to have more space.
Chilling with awesome people.
Then Mark saw me and pull me out of the room to meet up with Ella.
Ever so beautiful Ella.
Chilling with her for a bit.
Playing around with Darryl.
Ella was very exhausted so she went back to her room while I went back to drawmeet. It was regrettable that I was not able to hang out with Ella more at ALA but I do hope that we can meet up again someday soon.
"Oh my god, you guys! Did you just see that?!?"
Lia is laughing because Trevor in red shirt is very funny as hell. He was very super drunk and began to talking to Siri on his iphone, which made us laughing out loudly. My favorite moment is when Trevor asked Siri to find him a 14 year old hooker. The absolute highlight of ALA for me. :DDDDD
Trevor want us to hang out in his room after drawmeet ends but his roommates refused so it's understandable. I would not want other people to come in my room at 3 am, too. So Lia and her friends went back to their room while I go back to my room to rest up for tomorrow.
It was pretty good day and I got to meet Trevor, whose is just riot as hell. I want Trevor to be my main con entertainment, dammit! Fiona and I want him to be at every con that we goes to. That's how awesome Trevor is.
