SDCC '14 Day 4 (zizi yo)

The sleeping schedule is killing me now.

Back to work at 6 am with Mon Jay. As usual, he's texting the folks.

So quiet. But won't be for long now.

Helena and Steve. They're awesome married couple. I helped Helena get to SDCC, which is appreciated by both of them.

Helena is talking to Matt.

Isaiah with his sweet swags.

Fantastic cosplay. I also grab a selfie with her as well.

They got me this really nice gift bag with cool stuff inside it. It's to celebrate my 10th SDCC, which make me very happy.

StreetPass San Diego panel. I was on my DS whole time so I can streetpass everybody. It was so insane, lol. But it's fun.

Streetpass is awesome for community like this one.

As you can see, the room is full. But the panel was very informative, which is good. I got to talk to one of the panelists since he's admin for StreetPass San Diego. Very friendly guy.

So crowded, lol.

Got this bracelet. I followed this guy on Twitter whose would announce the location where you can meet him to get the bracelet from him. I got one from him before Cosplay 101 panel. Then I managed to score the 2nd one but he doesn't seem to be thrilling about it since I already have one. Had to convince him a little bit before he okayed it. But this was pretty fun experience for me.

Moment before group picture.

Sailor Moon OMG.

Walking to Hilton Bayfront hotel to meet up with Richie for lunch.

Ran into Rich again. I told him to have a safe trip home since he's from NYC. He's good guy.

This only remind me that SDCC is going to end soon. :(

Chilling in lobby, waiting for Richie to show up. Took him some time because of the traffic.

"Let me check the yelp on this restaurant."

Richie sure is addicting to his phone.

Pretty tasty lunch.

"How do you maneuver through this one?"
It was nice to spend time with him. We catch up on various news and he kept me in the loop about current con scene. But soon, I had to leave him because Buffy showing is about to start. I cannot miss Buffy showing since it's my tradition at SDCC.

Invasion time!

When I entered this room, I didn't realized that Tarantino would be in the room. Love his movies.

Joss Whedon's fans are now awaiting for Buffy showing to start.

So nice of Nicholas Brendon to show up to do quick speech.

Buffy showing time!

The audience is really getting into it.

When Buffy showing was over, I didn't want to leave SDCC immediately so I just wandered outside Ballroom 20.

So empty.

Played Pokemon X for a little bit.

So insanely crowded. The trolley pop up every 10 minutes just to deal with the volume.

So hard to walk away from SDCC but I need to hop on the trolley so I can meet up with Ryan for a dinner.

Fortunately, David was there so we hung out together the whole time before he got off at Old Town.

Waiting for the trolley to come. It was so crowded inside so I tried my best to stay sane. Not easy feat.

Drove to Chinese Buffet in El Cajon to meet up with Ryan. He's good people.

Pretty tasty meal.

Chilling with Ryan. We catch up on various stuff.

Decided to gave him the bracelet that I scored today. It's pretty nice gift.
Then we parted the way since I need to go home to rest up.
I left out few events from this blog for some reasons. But more favorable reason would be me forgetting to take the picture of certain event. But this year's SDCC has been very crazy compared to the previous SDCCs. Some of the events I saw and heard were pretty shocking, which really surprised me big time. But I don't try to dwell on those. I prefer to focus on remembering the good times.
Still, it's not always possible to have good times on constant basis, especially when there are so many unseen variables at SDCC. But that's part of the life and we must learn how to adjust with it. It's tough, really.
I think my favorite undocumented part is where Omar gave me hundred bucks to pick up Metal Gear Solid figure then they gave me the autograph ticket to Hideo Kojima autograph session. I just handed it to someone else, lol. Also, I helped out 9 people to get into SDCC so I'm pretty proud of that fact. I like to think that I tried my best to help the others. I have experience nothing but good fortunes at this year's SDCC, despite the lack of sleep and no consistent con partner.
There's a lot of memories that I will always adore a lot.
Now....... to the SDCC next year!!!
