San Diego Comic Con '17 Day 4 (why does good things must end?)

Showing even earlier because I have super early shift. All praise Old Town station for being only 10 minutes ride from SDCC.

Hanging out with Mon Jay in Marriott hotel for a little bit.

Showing up early and waiting for my partner to come.

Walking to Hall H with Steven. We're working Hall H for our shift.

Basically, we're gatekeeper of Hall H.

The woman in red hair in this picture asked me and Steven for a help. She suspected that a woman is faking being deaf. So she requested us to do check and talk to her in ASL.

Inside Hall H. It was so freezing cold like you have no idea.
We went to front row seats where deaf people usually sits. Steven and I talked to this woman whose had a group with her. She didn't even try to talk in ASL, which sets off alarm for us. Steven and I told the line manager that she's not deaf. The line manager told the woman to leave the front row. But the woman threw a fit. She threw down her badge on the floor, which stunned me. Ugh, I am so fed up with hearing people abusing deaf services system. Not cool not cool.

Around this time, the line manager came to us. She thanked us for our help. But the woman had been complained to the room supervisor whose allowed her back to front row seats. However, the line manager was being removed from Hall H. I was not really happy with this situation. I felt that the line manager is trying to do right thing but was rewarding by being removed from her assignment. Not fair.

Waiting for our shift to be over.

After the shift, I went to my supervisor and told her about what happened in Hall H. She asked me to filed out the complaint, which I did. I really hope that the management will do something about deaf/disabled services for next year's SDCC. It's not fair to deaf people whose kept getting shafted from the services that they really need.

After filing out the complaint, I went to the small press to browse around.
I struck up a chat with this guy from Europe. I like his graphic novel, which used really different art style. I want to buy his book but he only take cash and I only had debit card on me. However, he gave me the book for free, which is so nice on his part. He told me that he's only here for promoting. I'll be sure to check out his other works.

Supernatural autograph session. Let me tell you, it was so difficult to move around in this area. It sucks. I feel like I'm a sardine. Brutal experience.

Went outside to try to go to Marriott hotel. But Shoshi texted me that she's in artist alley. I decided to go back inside exhibition hall once again.

Battling the crowd to get to artist alley. With no crowd, this would take me couple of minutes but with crowd, it was about 10 minutes, which sucks.

Met up with oh so gorgeous Shoshi. We had a short chat and made a plan to meet in artist alley once my panel is over.

Going to Marriott hotel for Browncoats meeting.

Bunch of Browncoats are here. Sure, there's few of us but damn it, we're super passionate bunch!

The panelists are doing an auction on various Firefly and Serenity stuff to raise money for charity. But Jesus, some of people in this room has serious amount of money, which is so unreal.
2 people were vying for an autographed poster of Serenity movie poster. This went up to 500 bucks. One of them said that someone stole his autographed poster so he would like to have that poster so the woman in front decided to let him having it since she won bunch of auctions. Very kind on her part. But man...... 500 bucks for poster? Hot damn. But at least the money is going to worthy cause. Pretty amazing.

Firefly cosplayers.

Went to artist alley to met up with Shoshi.

She was browsing various stuff at different booths. We had a nice chat about Magic and all that jazz. I really like spending time with her.

Shoshi in Star Wars booth. Isn't she super beautiful? I hope that we can hang out again soon.

Went inside 6BCF for Buffy musical screening.

Chelsea with her group. So great to see them again, especially Chelsea's partner Stacy. Also, it was nice to see Mikalya, Stacy's daughter, again.

Poor our feet.

Announcing stuff before Buffy musical screening starts.

Buffy musical episode! So good to watch it again with other people.

Had a nice chat with Chelsea and Stacy. Then the room became super empty. I never had this experience before so it was bit surreal.

Walking through Sails Pavilion.

We peeked inside Ballroom 20, which is so empty. So neat sight. I'd love to play inside empty Ballroom 20.

Stacy and Mikalya are going inside exhibition hall to meet up with Maddie and her partner.

Erin walked by so I gave her a big hug. So great to see her again but damn, she was super popular. Lot of people were stopping her for the pictures.

Chelsea and her group soon had to leave so I bid them a farewell. Then I decided to go to trolley station.

Then Jet texted me that she's at Marriott hotel. I decided to go over there. But going through that crowd took me about 10, 15 minutes, due to how dense it was. Hard to believe that I have to experience this situation twice in same day. So frustrating, to say the least.

Met up with Jet and her group at Marriott hotel.

I used this time to rest and chilling around with folks.

Met up with Becky whose saw my tweet about me being at Marriott hotel. She soon had to leave but we plan to meet up soon so I can give her the swag.

Jet's friends are being silly.

We chose different spot to rest.
I used this time to chill around and check my emails.

Doing mini photo shoot.
But I soon had to leave. I said farewell to my friends.

Waiting for the trolley. I'm glad that Jet texted me at right time so I don't have to deal with crowded trolley. By postponing my trolley trip by 90 minutes, I don't have to deal with super crowded trolley.

Hit up Chinese buffet for post-SDCC meal. Always good to enjoy really good food after great con.
Truthfully, I thought this year's SDCC was pretty good, from my personal perspective. But I can understand why other people may not agree with that. I do hope that SDCC can overhaul their Hall H's wristband system and deaf/disabled service system. I'd like for everyone to be able to enjoy their experiences at SDCC without having to deal with hassles. I haven't enjoy SDCC this much since '13.
I was supposed to retire from SDCC after last year but I'm glad that I did not. I'm very excited about next year's SDCC.
Good times good times.
