SDCC '15 Day 0 (Imba day)
This year's SDCC is vastly different from previous SDCCs for me. But that means it's good change for me so this enabled me to enjoy the con a lot more. There are 2 factors that impact this SDCC for me. First one is that they don't have many interesting panels this year that appeals to me. That left me with a lot of free time. Second is that my work schedule was changed to much later shifts, which is sharp contrast from previous SDCCs, where I'd show up at 6 am.
So here's the blog.

Getting ready for SDCC.

Gosh, very cloudy day. In fact, this year's SDCC is probably the most coldest SDCC I've been to.

Waiting for the trolley to come at Fashion Valley Center.

Ohhhh, the hyper.

Arrived at Convention Center.

Walking to pick up the badge.

Where I pick up my badge. This year's process was so different so I didn't expect that. This was somewhat hassle for me. I just wish that this process could have been streamlined much better.

That's Mon Jay opening the box. He has been here since 5:30 am, which is just ridiculous. I got here at 9 am. But for him to be here this early doesn't make sense at all.

Nice to see this view again.

Alex and Mon Jay being all chill.

Alex on her DS.

Map of exhibition hall. Pretty much same layout from last year. Doesn't required much memorization for me.

Service dog for my supervisor. But this is very beautiful dog.

Waiting.

They need someone to work Town and Country Center so I volunteered. I went there via the trolley.

Walking to main reg area of Town and Country.

The main reg area for SDCC badge pick up. I was here for about 3 hours. However, my phone had ceased to work. So I kinda freaked out because someone need to contact me.

Need to make an emergency stop at my house to repairing my phone. However, my efforts didn't work so I panicked even more. So I went to Costco to get a new phone. Took me nearly 3 hours to obtain the new phone but I was very relieved. The customer service really sucks.

Waiting for the trolley at Hazard Center.

On the way back to SDCC. I made a stop by my station to apologizing to my supervisors for my lateness. I explained them about my phone situation, which they understand.

Entering the exhibition hall 90 minutes after the opening. So I was concerned that I may not able to obtain the exclusive items for my friend. To my shock, I was able to scored 3 items that he really want a lot.

Exhibition hall is just madness.

Success! I hope my friend will enjoy them.

Back at the trolley station to get home.
Today was just stressful because of the phone situation. But I'm happy that I can obtained the exclusive items without having to wait in line so no hassle. My friend was able to contact me so we can meet up with no problems. I'm just relieved that everything work out.
